Printed circuit boards (PCBs), an important component of e waste, typically contain 40% of precious metals, including 8-38% iron, 10-27% copper, 2-19% aluminium, 1-3% lead, 0.3-2% nickel, 200-3000 ppm silver, 20-500 ppm gold and 10-200 ppm palladium. The latest forecasts would show that e-waste is worth more than 62 billion US-Dollar annually – and was worth three times the output of all the world’s silver mines, which sets the stage for the future for e waste recycling business.
3. Recycling technology of e waste
