For different types of materials processed, the metal content is different. Taking commonly waste bare PCB board as an example, the metal contained is mainly copper, with a content of about 25%. But if it is a computer motherboard with electronic components, the copper content is about 16-20%, gold is about 0.025-0.05%, and silver is about 0.1-0.2%. For copper-clad laminates, the metal contained is only copper. And because the thickness of the copper clad layer is different, the copper content varies greatly.

Working Process of PCB board separator plant

1) Dismantling

Dismantling is a pretreatment for PCB with electronic components. After dismantled process, the electronic components and bare boards are separated. The electronic components dismantled can be sold directly for precious metal extraction. Bare boards need to continue processing to obtain copper and resin fiber by PCB board separator plant.

2) Shredding / Crushing

As copper and resin fiber are composited together in PCB board, it needs to be shredded or crushed for further separation. Generally for processing capacities less than 500kg/h, the shredder of PCB board separator plant is not necessary. A hammerhead crusher with a hammer crusher would be enough. But for bigger processing capacities, it is recommended to add a shredder for your PCB board separator plant.

3) Air Separation and Electrostatic Separation

After at less twice broken, the PCB boards are fully broken into small granules, but the copper and resin fiber are mixed together, which need to use the air separator for first separation and the electrostatic separator for second separation to separate metal from resin fiber.

4) Dust Collection
